I’m a Bristol-born, Devon-based artist who works primarily with watercolour and ink. I have been known to splash out the acrylics from time to time.

I paint what I see on my wanderings around this beautiful county, there is always a sketchbook in my rucksack and pencils lurking in the depths of my pockets along with pinecones, seeds, pebbles and all the other bits and pieces I collect as I go along.

Before I rediscovered painting, I was a photographer. I used to photograph weddings – painting is a lot more soothing for the soul than running about rounding up wedding parties, but years of photography have definitely influenced my painting style and composition. I love bright zingy colours and sharp crisp lines.

Making art is what I’ve been doing my entire life, in various different media. It’s what I love.

It’s such a joy when someone wants to take home something you’ve created. I love waving my paintings off to new homes where they will be appreciated and enjoyed, there is no bigger privilege as an artist.
