Spring Term 2025

Beginners’ drawing & sketching course (6 weeks) Thursdays, 10am-12.30pm

NEW for 2025! In six relaxed, beginner-friendly sessions, Anna Brewster will take you through the very basics of sketching and drawing, using tools such as pencils, charcoal and ink. Book here

Introduction to Printmaking (6 weeks, fortnightly classes) Sundays, 10am-1pm

2/16 Feb, 2/16/30 Mar & 13 Apr - £180

Join experienced tutor Karen Bowskill of Tideline Prints and her fabulous printing press for a 6-week Introduction to Printmaking. Whether you're new or have some experience, you’ll have fun exploring Mono-printing, Collagraph, Drypoint, and Lino. All materials included. Book here

Kickstart your creativity! (4 weeks) Wednesdays, 1.30pm - 4pm

26 Feb & 5/12/19 Mar - £95

Whether you're a timid new starter or a seasoned veteran, this four week dive into creativity is designed to get your ideas blossoming. Anna Brewster will guide you through a range of mediums, techniques and ideas to help Kickstart your Creativity and have fun! Book here

Anna Brewster will help you develop a range of ink and wash techniques, working on skies, landscapes, buildings and still life. Painting nature with Inktense, with Alex Boon

Painting Nature in Derwent Inktense Part II (4 weeks) Mondays, 10am - 12pm

This 4 part course with Alex Boon continues from the popular “Painting Nature in Derwent Inktense” - please note you will need to have done this course first, either at Umborne Bridge Studio or online via www.alexboonart.com. Inktense pencils will be provided but you are welcome to bring your own. Book here

Weds 5th Feb, 10am -4pm - £60 

This full day course with Anna Brewster will explore creating expressive seascapes in mixed media, working with watercolours, pastels and pencils - no experience required, all materials provided. Book here

Beginners’ silver jewellery making and simple stone setting

Saturday 8th Feb, 10am-3pm - £75

In this introduction to silver jewellery making with Naomi Brookes, you will discover the magic of using metal clay to make hallmark worthy jewellery. You will learn how to shape, process, set cubic zirconia, fire and finish your pieces (usually a necklace and earrings). Book here

Printmaking with Tideline Prints

Spring flowers in mixed media

Fri 14th March 10am-4pm - £60

NEW for 2025! This full day course with Anna Brewster will explore creating exciting, bold flower paintings in mixed media using paint, pencils and pastels. All materials will be provided and we will explore mark making, using colour in layers, and going large for maximum impact! Book here

Butterflies, bees and beetles

Saturday 29th March, 11am - 3pm - £45 

Celebrating the smallest creatures with paint! Creating a big, beautiful illustration of a mini-beast, bee or butterfly that would look perfect as a card design or on a child's bedroom wall. Older children aged 11+ are welcome on this course with an accompanying adult. Book here

Sustainable Fabric Printing

Sunday 23rd March 10am-4pm - £60 

Learn how to create your own beautiful hand printed fabric with Karen Bowskill of Tideline Prints, using reclaimed materials and found objects. Perfect for beginners and those who want to create something modern and fun. 

All materials are included and you will take home a selection of Fat Quarters to use in your favourite projects. Book here
