Spring flowers in mixed media - FULL
Fri 14th March 10am-4pm - £60
NEW for 2025! This full day course with Anna Brewster will explore creating exciting, bold flower paintings in mixed media using paint, pencils and pastels. All materials will be provided and we will explore mark making, using colour in layers, and going large for maximum impact! Book here
Butterflies, bees and beetles - ONE SPACE!
Saturday 29th March, 11am - 3pm - £45
Celebrating the smallest creatures with paint! Creating a big, beautiful illustration of a mini-beast, bee or butterfly that would look perfect as a card design or on a child's bedroom wall. Older children aged 11+ are welcome on this course with an accompanying adult. Book here
Sustainable Fabric Printing
Sunday 23rd March 10am-4pm - £60
Learn how to create your own beautiful hand printed fabric with Karen Bowskill of Tideline Prints, using reclaimed materials and found objects. Perfect for beginners and those who want to create something modern and fun.
All materials are included and you will take home a selection of Fat Quarters to use in your favourite projects. Book here
Beginners’ silver jewellery making and simple stone setting
Saturday 5th April, 10am-3pm - £75
In this introduction to silver jewellery making with Naomi Brookes, you will discover the magic of using metal clay to make hallmark worthy jewellery. You will learn how to shape, process, set cubic zirconia, fire and finish your pieces (usually a necklace and earrings). Book here
Cut and Paste: Finding Calm Through Collage - Sunday 6th April, 10am - 1pm - £30
Slow down and explore the relaxing process of collage. Using collected papers and printed materials, you'll cut, paste, and layer to create unique compositions. A soothing, creative escape, with all materials provided. Perfect for all skill levels—come relax and create! Book here
Painting nature with Inktense, with Alex Boon

Field Art: Painting in Holyford Woods,
East Devon
Wednesday 23rd April, 10am–4pm - £65
Join Alex Boon in beautiful Holyford Woods, to learn plein-air sketchbook painting techniques at the height of bluebell season. Learn to paint bluebells and their environment using Derwent Inktense, all outdoors (with the potential of return to the cosy studio if needed).

This 4 part course with Alex Boon continues from the popular “Painting Nature in Derwent Inktense” - please note you will need to have done this course first, either at Umborne Bridge Studio or online via www.alexboonart.com. Monoprinting
Sunday 18th May, 10am-4pm - £60
Experience the spontaneity of Monoprinting in this creative workshop. You'll explore drawing, mark-making, found materials, and stencils to create unique prints. No experience needed, just bring your creativity! Book here
Beach Clean and Block Printing - £40
Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th May
10am-1pm both days
Relax and recharge while helping to care for our beautiful coastline.
Join us for a beach clean, then transform your found plastics into printing blocks to create unique fabrics or t-shirts. Please bring gloves and a light coloured T-shirt. Book here
Beginners’ drawing & sketching course (6 weeks)

In six relaxed, beginner-friendly sessions, Anna Brewster will take you through the very basics of sketching and drawing, using tools such as pencils, charcoal and ink. This course is drawing only - no colour or paint involved. It is designed to equip you with the key skills needed to draw with more confidence and enjoyment. Book here

A gentle introduction to ink and wash technique with Anna Brewster. With useful tips and tricks galore, this beginners' course is based around still life and landscape drawing, in a supportive and friendly small group. Book here

NEW! Shoreline Stories: Drawing beach finds and fossils in a concertina book
Monday 23rd June, 10am-4pm - £60
NEW for 2025! In this workshop with Anna Brewster, we’ll focus on modern still life studies using beach finds and fossils as inspiration.
Working with a concertina sketchbook, you'll create artwork that flows, capturing the details of your coastal treasures.

Drypoint and Chine Collé
Sunday 6th July, 10am- 4pm - £60
Discover Drypoint Printing and Chine Collé, using recycled packaging and papers. Experiment, etch, and print your own small collection of detailed prints, full of rich lines, tone and colour. Book here

“How to Draw a Tree/River” weekend
Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd August, 10am–4pm both days - £80 for one day, £150 for both
A special weekend workshop in celebration of the publication of Alex Boon’s two books “How to Draw a Tree” and “How to Draw a River” with David & Charles.
This weekend is suitable for beginners to art or to drawing nature. All materials are provided, along with a signed copy of each book for the relevant day. Enquire/book here
